I have received new responsibility to start designing solution on Microsoft Azure for my office lately. I will be coming up with few series on creating and building VPN tunnel between Microsoft Azure and Office (Site-to-Site). There may be a first question What is VPN tunnel. VPN is Virtual Private Network, This is a secure way to access computer over open internet. In the VPN tunnel, data is encrypted end to end and cannot be seen or intercepted by intruder easily also You get liberty to use and access computers or services using  private IP instead of public IPs. VPN access is secure way to access computers over internet.

Azure secure and encrypted VPN tunnelOn the both end on-premise and Azure there are VPN Gateway, both endpoints have public IP and the are connected through Secure IPSEC protocol. As I will be connecting from my home I will be using Microsoft Windows Routing and remote access server (RRAS) to establish VPN tunnel. In next of the series I will showing how to setup and configure networking at Microsoft Azure end. I will try to using portal.azure.com website as well as Microsoft Azure Powershell to install and configuration.
